Activities
The department sponsors an annual alumni reunion dinner/party. So far,
all have been very successful, and they seem to be getting better and
better.
People
Rather
than just listing a lot of names, we thought this space might be used
to feature individual alumni (or groups of alumni), as material for this
becomes available. With time, we will add new entries and rotate old ones
into an archive. If you are an EBS graduate and are willing to be "featured",
please send us a short paragraph of text, any links or contacts that you
want included, a photo, a figure, whatever you like. Send them to Nancy Christie.
Statistics
To date the EBS academic program has more than 185 M.S. degree graduates,
and most work at environmental services firms and government environmental
regulatory/management agencies. Most of the 53 Ph.D. graduates are faculty;
scientists at laboratories of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency,
U.S. Geological Survey, and U.S. Department of Energy; or are environmental
program managers at private, state, federal, or international agencies.
We will provide more detailed statistics soon.
Resources
Here are a few web-based resources that we thought might be of particular
use to our alumni. We welcome suggestions for more links that should be
added here.
- Student Services
resources at the OGI web site include links to various job boards, instructions
for requesting transcripts, etc.
- List of job openings
at the web site of the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science
Professors (AEESP)
- Home page of the Northwest Environmental
Business Council (NEBC) includes calendars, directories, and opportunity
listings.
- OGI also maintains the EBS
Alumni page (formerly BMB & ESE Alumni pages).
