Research Interests:

Geomicrobiology—physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology of bacteria that catalyze metal transformations; molecular mechanisms of microbial metal binding, electron transfer (redox reactions), mineral formation, and alteration of volcanic glasses; the biogeochemical cycling of metals in the environment; marine biotechnology; bioremediation.
